For $190 round-trip, you receive careful transportation of your bicycle straight to the packet pickup or start line, PLUS: * complete comprehensive insurance, which covers loss AND damages, * shipping in a specialized container, not just in with all the other cargo, * bicycle transport between stage (for stage races), * 20 years of racing experience, so your bicycle is cared for by a cyclist... not a baggage handler. Also available: * team and multi-bike discount, * gear or wheel bag delivery, * pick-up/delivery services for the Island of Oahu Gear Bag Option: Want to fly without checking in any luggage? Have some CO2 cartridges for the race? Have a set of race wheels you don't want to check in? Don't want to pack the helmet, shoes, wetsuit, etc... KRC can take these items in your gear or wheel bag for an additional $20, max. limit 20lbs. Traveling inter-island is already complicated; with a bike it's even worse. First, you have to disassemble your bike and cram your prized possession into a flimsy cardboard box... being sure not to forget that very tiny but very vital bolt. Next, you have to drag that box to the airport and check it in. Once at the race site, so long as the box arrived in one piece, you have to rent a large vehicle to haul the boxed bike to your hotel to unpack and reassemble it. Don't forget to tighten all the bolts to their correct torque specs and position the handlebars and saddle exactly where they were before... Then, after the race, when the last thing you want to do is work on you bike; you have to do the whole sequence again!!! With KRC, all you have to do is drop off your cherished bike at Island Triathlon and Bike (IT&B), or schedule a pick-up (email for details), a few days before your race. Furthermore, you can opt to have your bike serviced at IT&B beforehand and KRC can take it from there. When your bike is ready, KRC will carefully load and transport it to the designated race venue. Your bike will arrive at the race venue just as it was when you dropped it off, race-ready. After the race, return the bike to the same pick-up area and we'll be sure it makes it home. When you return, you can pick-up your bike at IT&B or schedule a home delivery. We ask that you kindly remove your pedals and seatpost mounted water bottle/carrier. Our friendly and courteous staff can help you at no extra charge. You can take these items with you or they can be transported in a gear bag option to the race site. FAQ 1) When and where do I bring my bike for KRC service? Bikes can be dropped off at IT&B anytime before the deadline noted in the specific race timeline. Please review the timeline carefully or email KRC at info@kamaainaracing.com 2) Does KRC offer a cancellation policy? Full coverage for the value or your bicycle as listed on the waiver is included with the price of service.
